The exhibition will be opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of Stockport, Councillor Chris Murphy and Dot Murphy.

The Travelling Art Tent has been drifting its way across Stockport – visiting residential homes, day centres and art organisations and now it has made its landing at Stockport Art Gallery.

Come and experience the immersive art gallery yourself; we invite you to daydream with us and float away into your own imagination while exploring the artwork and hidden gems of The Travelling Art Tent.

Participants have created individual pieces exploring the idea of 'floating away' through watercolours, collage, sculpture, mixed media, textiles and photography.

Within the exhibition is the travelling art tent space, original artworks and photography from the Tent's travels around the different residential homes.

Accessibility - There will also be information sheets on the tent which will be available in large print and Braille for visitors to borrow while looking at the exhibition.

Accessibility: The exhibition is on the ground floor of the gallery. There is a ramp at the entrance, which is accessible for those needing a flat walkway via the Stockport College car park on Greek Street (signposted).
